An American has invented a new condom which he says is stronger, safer and enables better sensitivity. And the new condom is called the Galactic Cap Condom
(Pe_nis Helmet)

This new condom sits only on the very tip of the penis, leaving the shaft exposed boosting sensitivity and enabling easier application. It was developed by LA-based Charles Powell after one of his friends contracted HIV.

The condom comprises two parts - a U-shape polyurethane adhesive film that wraps around the penis
- like a plaster around a finger - and a cap that sticks to it to firmly trap semen.
Mr Powell claims the polyurethane part is like a second skin - and can be put on hours or days in advance as it can be worn while urinating and washing. But when a man wants to have sex, he peels off the paper backing on the cap and sticks it to the polyurethane to securely bond the two and trap semen.

Two Indian teenage girls gang-raped and hanged from a tree in India

Two teenage girls, a 14 year old and her 15 year old cousin were gang-raped by five Indian men and then hanged them from a tree in a village in the northern stateo f Uttar Pradesh, police said today.

According to Reuters, the two girls who were from a low-caste Dalit community went missing from their village home when they went out to go to the toilet on Tuesday evening, May 27th. The following morning, villagers found the bodies of the two teenagers hanging from a mango tree in a nearby orchard.

Indian police have arrested one man and are looking for four other suspects. The police said a post-mortem confirmed the two minors were raped and died from the hanging. DNA samples have also been taken to help identity the perpetrators, the police told reporters. *Graphic content after the cut*

Former Oyo Governor, Ladoja, loses son in auto crash in Lagos

One of the sons of former Oyo State governor, Rasheed Ladoja, died yesterday Thursday May 29th in a fatal auto accident on Eko Bridge.

Adebola Ladoja, who was driving a Volkswagen Golf car, was heading towards Lagos Island around 3.30pm when a DAF truck said to be on top speed lost control, rammed into the median of the bridge and then rammed into his car, crushing it and killing Adebola on the spot.

"It took several hours before those who came to the rescue of the victim could break into the vehicle. He was trapped behind the wheel with blood gushing out of his head as a result of the impact,” an eyewitness said

Lagos state Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, confirmed the incident and said the late Adebola's corpse has been deposited at the mortuary

"On Eko Bridge, a Daf truck with registration number. JJJ 59 XA, driven by one Justice Oseghai, ran into a Volkswagen Golf car marked AKD 107 CJ, driven by Adebola Ladoja, son of the former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Rasheed Ladoja. The victim died on the spot. His corpse has been moved to the Lagos Island General Hospital’s mortuary for autopsy, while the truck’s driver has been arrested."

Arguably, one of the most famous couple-pastors in Nigeria
is Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and his wife, Rev. Anita
Oyakhilome of Love World Assembly, aka Christ Embassy
Church.
However, with the latest information emanating from the
United kingdom, where the Oyakhilome’s resides, the couple
may have divorced or separated secretly from their marriage.
According to a report published in the UK on Wednesday, 28
May, 2014, most of the members of Christ Embassy Church in
the UK are beginning to show concerns on why the couple has not
been seen together both in the church and outside the church
lately.
In an attempt to find answers to their worries, some members
of the church have allegedly went to open a Facebook page
which they call ‘Where is Rev. Anita Oyakhilome?

The page administrators who are based in the United Kingdom
and are strong members of the church, stated on the page that
they are very worried about the absence of Rev. Anita
Oyakhilome in the life of Pastor Chris.
While demanding demanding to know her whereabouts, the
members stated on the facebook page that they wondering what
has become of the clergywoman.
According to comments on the facebook page, Rev. Anita hasn’t
been seen in the Christ Embassy Church where she pastors since
November, 2013, and there were no explanations given, as to her
sudden disappearance and the church has been left without a
pastor since then.
In one of the posts on the page, the members want to know the
real truth about her mental state as there are speculations she
may not be really sound upstairs, while they are also wondering
if their Senior Pastor had divorced the wife without the
members knowing.
In another post, the group reported the summary of an earlier
speech made by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, where he admonished
his members not to question anything they see or air their
opinion on any matter in the church.
He pointed out in the speech, that any church where the
members air their views never grows.
Below is the summary of pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s Speech on
16/05/2014 in a meeting with all UK Pastors and Deacons at
Christ Embassy, Bermondsey:
“I am here for your concerns about the ongoing domestic issue
with my wife and I know it affects you directly, being the ones
under her leadership. This is not an organisation or a political
party, so it’s not a place for you to air your opinion or
scrutinise what we do.
We had a vision, started and you joined us. If you don’t like
what we do, you can get out. Churches where members air their
views never grow. Some pastors wives think when they marry a
pastor they are equal to the pastor.
My wife thinks so, as a matter of fact, Rev. Tom was her pastor
before I married her and Rev. Ray and Evang. Owase were her
leaders long before I married her. How come she thinks she’s
senior to them now? I already started Christ Embassy before I
married her.
I didn’t marry her and said we should start Christ Embassy. I
was already pastoring. I already set my sail and knew my
direction before I married her. I only said come and help me. Be
careful of the friends you keep.
My wife keeps friends who bring out the worst in her and help
her see the worst in people instead of keeping friends that will
help her vision especially as the wife of a global pastor like me.
Bitterness is prolonged and accumulated anger. My wife is
always angry and bitter. Allegations are either false or twisted
information. The current situation is not as a result of what I
did or what I didn’t do.
I didn’t do anything to have caused an upheaval. You don’t join
a woman to fight her husband. I’m not teaching you what is
wrong, at least I have 2 girls who will one day marry and I want
to them to enjoy it.

Nigeria’s former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, has reportedly held a meeting with people who have access to Boko Haram. He is allegedly attempting to negotiate the release of the
abducted school girls.
The meeting took place last weekend at Obasanjo’s farm in Ogun State according to Vanguard. Attendees included relatives of some senior Boko Haram fighters and intermediaries.
The outcome of the meeting is unknown.

Immediate past Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, is presently in India on a visit to see former Minister of Information and Communications, Prof. Dora Akunyili, who is receiving treatment in the country. Mr. Obi left for India yesterday in company of his media aide, Mr. Valentine Obienyem. The two men confirmed in a message from India that Prof. Akunyili is responding to treatment and that her situation is nothing near the scary picture being painted by rumour mongers.
Prof. Dora Akunyili’s husband, Dr. Chike Akunyili, confirmed to me on phone this morning that Messrs Obi and Obienyem are with them in the hospital. “We are very happy to see them. We are even happier that they have volunteered to spend the entire day with us before returning home to Nigeria,” Dr. Akunyili said. He also expressed appreciation to Nigerians, saying: “We can never thank Nigerians enough; their prayers are working.”

The attached photo shows Ex-Governor Obi discussing with the doctors treating Dora, while her husband watches. Below is an e-mail sent from India this morning by Obienyem:
“Brother Isaac, I am sending this mail from the hospital where our beloved Prof. Dora Akunyili is being treated. At the moment, her husband, Dr. Chike Akunyili, Mr. Peter Obi and the team of Doctors treating her are rubbing minds.

“While Doctors at the Indian hospital are explaining what they are doing and how tremendously she has improved; Dr. Chike Akunyili thanked them for their commitment to duty. He also expressed gratitude to Nigerians for the outpouring of love showered on his wife. Mr. Obi emphasised the need for Indians to come and set up facilities in Nigeria and for Nigerian Doctors to also show commitment to expanding the health facilities in Nigeria through strategic investment. Though the Doctors said they come to the country now and then, they agreed on the need to consider what Obi said seriously. They promised to keep communications open.

“Obi thanked God for the tremendous improvement of Prof. Akunyili and said the reality he saw was the direct opposite of the grim picture some people painted about her condition. He prayed to God to grant her total healing.

“In Nigeria, it is common for Nigerians to express secret and sometimes open excitement whenever any highly placed Nigerian suffer. They see it as delayed punishment for the iniquities they foisted on the nation. Prof. Dora Akunyili is different. Since the news of her sickness was broken, the entire nation has been crying and praying for her to be healed. Even on social networks, you see people’s writings dripping with tears for a woman who showed the nation what service in the truest sense of the word means.

“Nigerians as a people suffer from forgetfulness that is inexplicable. We forget people’s deeds so easily. Again, Dora is different. The pervasiveness of her good work ensured that it is etched permanently in the psyches of our people. Who in Nigeria today has forgotten the trauma – attacks upon attacks – that Dora was faced with simply for doing what was best for Nigeria and humanity?
“I understand that since being in the hospital, Nigerians in India have turned the hospital into a Mecca of sort. Daily they visit to pray for her recovery. I understand that the Nigerian Ambassador to India came calling yesterday.

“Meanwhile, Mr. Obi and the team of Doctors are discussing many subjects. Having finished with health, the secret of the development of the health institution and the part the Government is playing, he is busy asking them the secret of the development of Karnataka, the State in India, where Bangalore city/town is located. He wants to know the secret behind the development in infrastructure, education, social services, among others as to compare note with what are witnessed in Nigeria.”

Nigerian Army Captures Boko Haram’s Arms Suppliers

The Nigerian Army has announced the captured of three people they believe are suppliers of arms for the dreaded Islamist militant group, Boko Haram.
According to reports, the suspects include a retired Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP, and a corporal, Abu Haruna, Solomon, arrested for illegal trafficking of arms and ammunition.
It was gathered that the suspects were captured in Nsukka by men of the Nigerian Army while they were travelling in a bus heading to the North from Imo State.
Some of the arms and ammunitions recovered from them include 40 AK47 magazines, 4 boxes of AK47 live ammunition, 100 pieces of live cartridges, one piece of Denin Mopol khaki and charms concealed in a cap.

The captured arms suppliers confessed their involvement in supplying of arms to insurgents in the Northern Nigeria.
A police corporal serving in Imo State Police Command was also involved in the arms running, according to a source.
The retired DSP, Abu Haruna, confessed that he had been in the business of arms dealing since he retired from the police.
He said their mission was to supply the ammunition to thier buyer in Taraba state.
The suspects were said to be taken to Nsukka Police Division before their transfer to the state CID.

The 2014 budget has been signed into law by President Goodluck Jonathan. The president signed the budget into law this morning, May 23rd, after the statutory process of legislative scrutiny was completed.

Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Minister of Finance Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, and the DG of the Budget Office are expected to address the press later today on the budget signing.

According to a report by Channels TV, the Nigerian army has announced the recruitment of volunteer soldiers that will serve in the search for the missing Chibok girls as well as help in the fight against Boko Haram insurgence. In a press briefing today, the Director of Public Affairs said the recruitment exercise will end on June 21st and is open to only able bodied persons.
