Meet Miss Ideal Nigeria Top Model

I'm Umeike Chiamaka Feranmi. An indigene of Anambra State. A graduate of the prestigious University, The University of Ibadan, studied Library and Information Studies.

Aside education, modelling has been my passion, it boosts my confidence and helped me with my self esteem.

It has been a difficult ride for me but as a goal setter with a goal, I am determined to press on and achieve my goals..

I am currently the Miss Ideal Nigeria Top Model and it as been a smooth journey so far..

I have attended a lot of castings, done photoshoots, gone for runway shows and pageants.. This has really boosted my public speaking and helped overcome my shyness.

I see Modelling as an art whereby humans are used as the canvass in which designers can be identified as the artists.

My dream for modelling is to endeavor people see models as individuals pursuing their passion with so much enthusiasm and less criticisms. Thank you

Meet Model Opemipo [Reaching her Peak]

My name is Oluwabiyi Opemipo, I am the last born of my family. I am from Ondo state, Akure south to be precise. My Primary and Secondary school education was in Akure too, in fact, i have always been in Akure.

I am a 400lev student of University of Ibadan, Faculty of Science, Department of Zoology( the irony of it, I don't think I like animals that's much). Aside being a student, I am an usher and also a model. I am the CEO of Ornate Ushering Agency.

My modeling carrier started unofficially in my 100lev days where I model for some people( Needles, Teddy Moore Fashion House) with clothing line at different variety nights and it ended there. Until I got to 300Lev when somebody told me l look like all these Instagram models and to think, I didn't have an Instagram account then. So the person invited me for Ibadan Style and Fashion Week Casting 2016 casting which I was picked and from there, the urge and passion to model blew. I got acquainted to modeling and modeling terms.

I had numerous photoshoots( thanks to UI photographers and some other photographers I met online) I have about 4 fashion shows this December where I'll be walking. I was at Independence Fashion Show 2017, October. And yes, I'm also on Unibadan Fashion Week 2017, tomorrow (25/11/17).

I haven't gotten to the peak of my carrier, I pray for greater heights for myself.

Imo state indigenes now have a new hilarious greeting inspired by the statues built by their governor

Thanks to Governor Rochas Okorocha and his statues, Imo state indigenes now have a new greeting for each other, according to this Facebook user.

Kell D'Saint Amadi wrote that the new greeting is, "Nwanne akpuola gi?".

For those who don't know, it translates to, "Guy, have you been sculpted."

Lol. Since the governor of the state is erecting statues of people, who knows who'll  be sculpted  next

Fugitive ex-pension boss, Abdulrasheed Maina, was still receiving salary even after his dismissal — Lawyer

A shocking revelation was made at the House of Representatives hearing into the recall, reinstatement, and promotion of wanted former chairman of the Presidential Taskforce on Pension Reform, Abdulrasheed Maina, yesterday November 23rd. The house set up a panel to look into Maina's recall last month following a public outcry when the fugitive former pension boss was reinstated into the civil service in very controversial circumstances. President Buhari ordered for his dismissal immediately after the news broke online. Maina was dismissed from office in 2013 and declared wanted by the EFCC and INTERPOL for carrying out N2.1 billion fraud while he was in office.

While being questioned, Maina's lawyer, Mohammed Katu, told the lawmakers that his client has been receiving his salaries despite being sacked for years.

When asked by lawmakers if Mr. Maina was still getting paid, he said, “Yes. Maina continued to work even after his dismissal. As at last month, about 23 files were sent to him, in his capacity as acting director…even while he was absent.

“On the issue of his disappearance, he had to disappear because there was so much threats to his life. On the issue of his dismissal from service, which came up in 2013, we have documents to say here that even after he was allegedly sacked, he still wrote letters to the then president, finance minister, and the rest, which they acted on. I can tell you that about 23 files were sent to Maina even as at last few months to treat in his capacity as acting director, even after the purported dismissal. Another matter was that whether those that sacked him had powers to do so. When his lawyers realized that there was a process of sacking him, they wrote a letter to the commission that he filed a case in court against that. His letter wasn’t complied with,” the lawyer said
