Muna Obiekwe passed away in the afternoon of Sunday, January 18, 2015 in a hospital in Festac, Lagos. He had been battling with kidney disease for a long time which he reportedly kept secret from his colleagues in the Nigerian entertainment industry. His condition deteriorated in recent times, which eventually led to his death.
A reliable source said Obiekwe was rushed to the hospital on Sunday morning after he was found vomiting at home. Unfortunately he lost the battle and passed away in the hospital.
