Stephen Keshi has said there were no sentiments involved in his final selection of players for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The Big Boss left out Obinna Nsofor, Sunday
Mba, Ejike Uzoenyi, Nosa Igiebor, Joel Obi, Daniel Akpeyi and Nnamdi Oduamadi from the 23-man squad that will representt Nigeria at the competition. He has now admitted it was a hard choice to make.
“This was a very tough decision to make. I wish I could have taken all 30 of them to the World Cup,” Keshi told KickOffNigeria.
“They have been with us all this time and come this far and I think it’s unfortunate that not everyone can make it.
“But we had to do what we had to do, and we had to do it without any sentiment. I have told them to be strong and to work harder.”
