Many of the Internally Displaced Persons who fled to Maiduguri after the town of Bama was recaptured from Boko Haram members last week have recounted how the sect members killed their wives before they escaped the town.
According to what they said, the militants decided to kill their wives after getting word that troops were advancing to recapture Bama, because they didn't want the women to remarry 'unbelievers'
According to one of the IDP's, 39 year old mother of three Sharifatu Bakura, the sect members said they would rather kill their wives than let them marry "unbelievers" and miss them reuniting in "Heaven".
“The terrorists said they will not allow their wives to be married to infidels,” she said
The sect members reportedly shot their wives dead.
In a related development, the troops, after taking over Bama, found a large number of dead bodies deposited in a well in the town. PRNigeria, quotes a security source as saying that "a large number of dead bodies apparently of some of their hostages or those who resisted them were discovered in wells".
President Jonathan has sacked the Executive Chairman of Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) Alhaji Kabiru Mashi (pictured left) and replaced him with the Coordinating Director at FIRS, Mr. Samuel Ogungbesan (right). Ogungbesan's appointment takes immediate effect.

The attached pictures are of a boy in his mid twenties.
He was tortured to death by police men. Until his arrest and murder, he was working with Protea hotel in Benin. He was accused of stealing N45,000 from a guest in one of the rooms he attended to and as such was arrested, detained and not granted bail. The police then asked the parents to go bring N27000 for his bail. By the time they got back with the money, they were told he was dead. He was tortured until he died.
Please let’s help him get justice.

APC Governorship aspirant in Kogi state, AbdulAziz Omeiza Aliyu (pictured above) and his younger brother, Salmanu Adeiza Aliyu lost their lives in a fatal road accident that happened at Jere town along Kaduna – Abuja federal highway yesterday March 14th.
A family spokesman, Abubakar Aliyu said the 36 year old politician was returning from Abuja to Kogi with his younger brother when the chattered vehicle they were riding in got involved in the accident. All occupants in the car died. Continue...

“Omeiza spoke with his father around 1.30pm Saturday few minutes into the ill fated journey and barely half an hour, we received the shocking and sad news of his demise from a samaritans from the scene of the accident. From the report we received none of passengers on the ill fated Sharon car survived and they have been given mass burial at location at Jere town”.
